Thieves Attack Njindom and Mile 19, Mbengwi

It was on Thursday night breaking Friday June 1st 2018 that a gang of robbers break into several stores in Njindom and Mile 19 Mbengwi. Teba Polycap Tanwani is a bar owner at the Njindom Square. "They destroyed the locks, made their way in and collected 80.000F cash and paper. They also tampered with my flat screen TV  but never carried it away" he narrated. Another victim, Tembug Valentine Teghen, a provision store owner said, "We knew that from 9pm, nobody is supposed to be walking outside. Surprisingly, we came to work that Friday morning only to discover that the locks to the door have been broken. They carried away money, 50.000F, drinks and other items"

A attempts to force open the door into the biggest store in Njindom belonging to a certain Fon Kennedy ended in futility. The bandits successfully made away with their booty leaving behind no traces.

That same night, several stores were also broken into at Mile 19. The bandits are said to have emptied some bottles of beer into their stomachs in one bar they got into after which they carried some drinks away alongside a Chinese machine there got from a game house, with much coins stocked inside. It's however difficult to ascertain whether they were two different gangs or it was the same gang that carried out these robberies. But one thing is certain, that some hoodlums are taking advantage of the government imposed curfew to steal since by 9pm, everybody is indoors. The economic hardship caused by the current Anglophone Crises is harsh yet the little people still manage to gather is carried away like an unfortunate chick in the claws of a swift. Truly, it never rains but it pours.
