M.P for Mbengwi Penetrates Fringyeng, Njindom, Njinibi, Wumfi; What for?

The Member of Parliament for Momo East Constituency, Mbengwi, Hon. Injoh Foo Ngang Prodencia has continued to distinguish herself from others as an on the field politician not an absentee landlord. She goes into records as a fearless politician that goes to wherever and whenever her spirit leads. 

Right in the heart of the crisis, she penetrated Acha, Njimetu in Bome, Dom in Tugi and several other villages, communities. Of recent she braved all odds to reach Fringyeng, the furthest community from Mbengwi central subdivision sharing borders with Oshie in Njikwa subdivision.  

The special trip to Fringyeng was undertaken on Wednesday August 26th 2026 in the company of the Mayor of the Mbengwi Council, Ndangsa Kennedy Akam and his second deputy Amadu Kadiri. They went along with officials from Elections Cameroon, ELECAM.

"I have been on the field to step up voter registration into the electoral register in Fringyeng, Njindom, Njinibi, Wumfi and Mbengwi" said the M.P. She added that "the purpose of the visit to Fringyeng was a meet the people tour and also to have first hand information on the persistent outages on the electricity line benefited by the population through BIP allocation by the state from Njindom junction passing though Mbengeghang, Ngamunge to Fringyeng."

The third purpose of the visit according to the M.P was to carryout feasibility studies on the possible handing over of the Fringyeng Integrated Health Centre constructed several years back by the European Union before the advent of the the Anglophone Crisis to the state. 

"When I got a distress call from that part of my constituency that the people there feel abandoned because of the difficult nature of their terrain that makes it cumbersome for the administration to visit their area, I resolved to go there myself and feel the ordeal they're going through." Hon. Foo Ngang Prodencia advanced this as one of the reasons that  took her there.

On the joint field visit were also the Divisional Delegate of Water Resources and Energy, MINMAP, ENEO (SOCADEL), the Contractor and the representative of the village. It was established that the frequent power outages has been due to natural disasters as a result of the nature of the terrain which is prone to thunder and lightening. 

The technicians from ENEO (SOCADEL) promised to carry out maintenance and replacement of damaged materials. Unfortunately they did not have all the required materials to carry out the repairs in stock. Faced with this challenge and feeling the plight of the suffering population, the parliamentarian took the responsibility to provide the funds needed  for the procurement of the  required materials to facilitate the execution of the work as soon as possible.

Inaugurating Another People Centred Project Realised by the Mbengwi Council 

Barely a day after descending from Fringyeng, she later visited Njindom, Njinibi and Wumfi to continue meeting her constituents and encouraging voter registration. Same day, that is Friday 28th August, she took part in the handing over of the Chah bridge constructed by the Mbengwi Council linking Mbengwi to Bafut and Mankon in Mezam division, Bamenda to the beneficiary population and later joint members of Mbengwi Elements Development Association, MEDA for the holding of their Annual General Meeting, A.G.M in the palace.

Hon. Injoh Foo Prodencia can thus be rightly referred to as the most travelled politician that's been to the nukes and crannies of her constituency. Where others fear going to, she dares and often comes back safe and sound after succeeding in her mission. She moves without any security elements. She has also been outstanding in canvassing for voter registration. She takes ELECAM to the people rather than waiting on them to travel for kilometres just to come and register. Certainly with all these, she hopes to retain her office come next year when municipal and legislative elections will take place.
