The distribution exercise took place in the head office of the foundation located in between the Mbengwi old council building and old court. Tah Derick is the founder of Tadercam Foundation Orphanage. In addressing the guardians that brought the little ones, he encouraged all to learn to be one another's keeper contrary to what some people erroneously believe in, that anybody for himself. He told them that "Money has impact when used on people not assets. You can have everything in the world but if you can't make someone to smile, you're nothing."

Talking to Mbengwi Online on the reason for the donation, Derrick said "We want to give these children a permanent smile so that they grow to do same to others. Our desire is for people to develop the mind of always helping others around us, not necessarily orphans in whatever little way they can." Pa Abu Chick Lucas, a retired civil servant from Tugi village attended the event to contribute his own little quota for the proper upbringing of the children by donating a solar rechargeable shaving machine to the orphanage that shall from now henceforth be used to shave the children's hair till the day it gets bad. He also promised to do more as an individual and source for help from other well wishers through his connections.
