Another Surprise at House of Hope Orphanage as Eric Akuta Foundation Steps in from San Antonio, Texas

Ever since the release of an S.O.S video that went viral online in which the kids of House of Hope Orphanage, Ngyen-Mbo Mbengwi were seen begging for help, hardly have weeks gone by without individuals, families, groups, associations, churches and organisations stepping in to wipe away the children's tears through material and cash donations.

On Friday September 3rd 2021, it was the turn of U.S based Eric Akuta Foundation from the city of San Antonio in Texas to sow a seed in the lives of the over 50 children being brought up at the orphanage. Mr. Tembi Jacob, former principal of Government Bilingual High School Mbengwi and former Momo Divisional Delegate of Secondary Education, now on retirement led a delegation to House of Hope Orphanage Ngyen-Mbo at its Wumfi temporal site to execute the donation exercise on behalf of the Eric Akuta Foundation which he revealed stems from Christ Empire, a religious congregation also based in San Antonio with a mission that's not only spiritual but humanitarian too.

Addressing the children as they stood behind their food and material items, Mr. Tembi Jacob told them that "The foundation, founded and run by Dr. Eric Akuta and wife, Dr. Edna Akuta thought that orphans should neither sleep hungry nor go to school hungry. They heard about this orphanage and extended these gifts that we should bring them here." The items handed were 16 bags of rice, 16 cartons of soap, 8 cartons of maggi and 140 litres of vegetable oil (28 jugs of 5 litres each). The entire donation project from information gotten cost the foundation close to a million francs CFA.

Having received the goodies, Madam Ayaba Marvis, founder/matron of the orphanage couldn't hide her feelings of joy and satisfaction. In expression, she said, "I feel so fulfilled and proud because I have brothers and sisters who've heard my cry and are ready to sail in this ship with me across the sea to make these children grow up. I'm just a vessel with nothing." Talking a bit about the origin of House of Hope Orphanage Ngyen-Mbo said "It just came to my heart to gather these children because of my own life story, how I grew up. I gathered them, having nothing. So, all I have to do is to beg, reason why I sent that video out because it was difficult by then. Everybody was afraid to come to Mbengwi" She went on to thank God because the said video that was released has actually opened many doors of support for the children especially as many persons round the world now know of their existence.

She also thanked the Akuta's for their great help and support to the kids wishing their ministry, Christ Empire grows bigger and bigger. "Wherever this money has come from, may the good Lord multiply it a million folds. May their pockets never remain dry. May they always be happy. May peace reign in their generation. We are so grateful." These were the words of the matron as she ended her vote of thanks to the donors.

Tende Clara is the spokesperson of the orphans. She too just like the matron thanked the Eric Akuta foundation for their kind gesture over their lives. Hear her, "In fact, we lack words to express our gratitude to you. We are so grateful for the marvelous items you've provided for us and we pray that may the Almighty  God bless you and give you more open doors so that you may continue to support us in the nearest future. We are still begging for school fees and needs as we shall be going to school." Clara went on to wish the Akutas live long to see their children's children, thanking them for supporting the children of House of Hope Orphanage Ngyen-Mbo most especially in this period of crisis.

Dr. Eric Akuta is a son of the soil, precisely from Zang Tabi village. He's been in the U.S for years now, administering the word of God through his church, Christ Empire alongside the wife, Dr. Edna Akuta, a daughter of the soil too. The recent donation to House of Hope Orphanage Ngyen-Mbo is the maiden ground breaking humanitarian activity the foundation has carried out back home in Meta, Mbengwi, the birthplace of its foubders. Close sources to the Akutas have hinted Mbengwi Online that this is just the beginning as there are very high probabilities that in the nearest future, such humanitarian donations to various underprivileged persons will continue, cutting across various subdivisions of the North West region and beyond.
