Fon of Ku Still Missing, Weeks After Being Kidnapped

 Ku Royal Stool Desecrated

Kidnapped on Tuesday August 26th 2020, the whereabout of HRH Fon Fonguh Henry of Ku fondom in the Bome zone of the Meta clan, Mbengwi central sub division has remained unknown. The royal authority was dragged out of his palace at gunpoint that fateful day and despite condemnations from the Meta Fon's Union, Meta War Chamber (a diaspora group alleged to be controllers of non state armed fighters in Mbengwi), elites and other concerned individuals, his captors have continued to hold him hostage.

Many of the Fon's subjects and the royal family members have continued to express worries on the fate of their father most especially the suspicious silence over his unknown whereabout. Dieudonne Fombang, a concerned subject has been lamenting for the fon to be freed.

In a recent social media outing, he published what he termed A Cry for Help in which he said: "Dear people of Meta land, Dear members of the the 'Meta War Chamber', Dear All; We the people of Ku Bome are now sheep without a shepherd, like fatherless children, like rejected people. Why is our fon under Amba captivity for this long? We hear his one hand and one leg are broken. Is this not enough punishment? Why do we exaggerate? Our Father might have defecated in his trousers but he still remains our Father. We hear the orders are from the Diaspora. Let me know something. Do we need more friends or more enemies in times like this? Ku Bome villagers are not satisfied with this treatment. Take us seriously. Liberate the Fon of Ku. Liberate him, Liberate him. Enough is Enough.

The fon of Ku. What Was on His Mind?

In response, Bolinga Victorine, a diasporan opined that the act was committed by "Atanga Nji's Amba Boys", a comment that sparked more rantings with a counter opinion from Dieudonne who disagreed because to him, it is alleged the fon was kidnapped for attending an Atanga Nji organised meeting in Yaounde with traditional leaders. It should be noted this is about the third time the fon is being kidnapped but has never spent such length of time in captivity.

Few days back, one of the palace princesses, Fonguh Corita got wedded in Douala in the absence of her father whose whereabout remains unknown. The government has been encouraging runaway fons to return to their palaces. Such kidnaps give justified reasons for more fons to rather  flee.
